Our Fiscal Administrator is retiring. HUMBOLDT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SERVICES (HDVS) is looking for a dedicated person interested in working with an organization that promotes social justice and positive change in our community. This immediate opening will give the selected candidate the opportunity to train fully before our current staff person retires. Job Title: Fiscal Administrator/HR Generalist

About the Position: The Fiscal Administrator/HR Generalist is a part of the Leadership Team at HDVS and reports directly to the Executive Director.

Position is Monday “ Thursday, 32 hours, with an excellent full time benefit package, paid by employee, that

includes paid holidays, medical, dental and vision and wellness option along with earned PTO vacation,

earned sick leave, and competitive non-profit wage.

The Fiscal Administrator/HR Generalist is responsible for the fiscal administration of the agency.

This position is responsible for providing financial support for the organization and its programs through

grant development, yearly audits and daily non-profit management in a non-profit organizational setting.

Duties include, but are not limited to, full financial spectrum of non-profit accounting and bookkeeping

which may include, but is not limited to: P/R, A/P, A/R use of Microsoft Office software including Excel,

Word, and Outlook and MIP software knowledge.

Requires, a high degree of discretion dealing with confidential information is a must; position links with the

executive leadership staff.

Assists with the legal obligations and public accountability of the agency meeting its financial needs.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following Combination of Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of non-profit fiscal responsibilities including grant management reporting, auditing and fiscal

challenges and preparing reports for the Executive Director, Board of Directors and funders.

Human Resources Generalist skills in supporting staff and the agency.

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to be

innovative with limited resources.

The highest ethical standards and the ability to build a trusting, respectful and consistent working

environment.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, MIP financial software (training available).

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in either Accounting, Non-Profit Management, Business, Public Policy Management with

Accounting emphasis, HDVS will consider strong Bookkeeping background with Associated Arts/Science

Degree.

Proven track record of working in a social and direct service environment.

Grant reporting and budget development experience.

Ability to work with a team in a small non-profit agency that is client-centered first and foremost.
