Job Type
Extra-help-temporary 30-40 hours a week. Able to work any shift - 24 hour coverage with the ability to work evenings and weekends, and overtime as required. Non-exempt. Full time and part time available. Benefits include sick pay.

Client Services
Under supervision, performs a variety of duties related to AHP’s Temporary Shelter in Place program (SIP); performs related work as required.
Required:
12 AM to 8:30 AM shift needed. Able to work any shift - 24 hour coverage to provide wrap around service for people in a short term temporary shelter in place program during the Covid-19 crisis. Clean driving record with a California issued driver’s license. 4-16 weeks, depending on SIP.
Examples of Duties
Assist with food prep and distribution
Identifying people who are homeless who could benefit from this service
Assist to locate tent, hotel shelter, or other options to encourage shelter in place
Connect and refer people to 211, AHP One Stop or other services
Must be able to drive
Ability to stay current- with the ever changing services available
Comfortable with people are homeless, have mental or physical health concerns
Implement harm reduction model
Implement and encourage program rules
Support participation at sites ie: lot and landscaping maintenance while supporting 6’ social distances
Implement universal precautions procedures
Processes forms and documents in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
Compiles information to respond to questions or address issues.
Performs related duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1 year experience with the homeless preferred or low-income, at risk clients (with a history of substance abuse, family violence or mental illness for a social service agency) or
Any combination of education and experience that provides the ability and experience to perform the assigned duties.
Other Qualifications
Satisfactory criminal records check, pre-hire and annually thereafter, if applicable. Must be eligible to work in the United States and provide work authorization. Proof of automobile insurance, a clean driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier, and a valid California Driver’s license.
