O&M Industries needs a new office team member!
O&M Industries covers all areas of metalwork from Industrial, structural steel, sheet metal, fabrication and installation. Located in Arcata, we have served the local community and across the US since 1946!
We are looking to recruit a new -Admin Assistant / Front Desk individual to join our office team!
Must have great communication, customer service and organization to juggle phones, greet walk-in customers, contractors and assist project managers. Days stay full with a variety of office tasks and projects. We want someone who is eager to learn and flexible with new software.
Daily Duties to expect:
Greets clients at front desk. Provides intake for Walk in Counter fabrication Sales & material sales.
Knowledge of items in stock and communicating with the yard to find appropriate piece, starting small
fabrication jobs and handing them off to the shop. Working with customers to understand what they want
and knowledge of our shops capabilities.
Proposal writing for project managers, job initialization, project research.
Manages multiple line telephone system for the office and service location. Answers phone in a courteous and
efficient manner, routes calls to appropriate person or department, takes accurate messages and delivers
them to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
Organizes and manages daily activities to assure efficient operations
Updating time off calendars, preparing weekly office agenda
Costing out jobs and materials
Fleet maintenance, keeping up on vehicle records and renewals.
Assembles project binders, print labels, sort mail, send out envelopes and packages.
Miscellaneous office ordering: office supplies, company shirts, printer cartridges, Costco runs.
Administratively support all departments with regular and periodic tasks.
Strong customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality
Proven ability to take initiative and responsibility for completing work within a team environment Preferred
Skills:
Organized, detail oriented, thorough and accurate
Provide clear verbal communication
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Docs, Google Sheets
Fleet Management Software, Project Management schedulers Knowledge of metals, fabrication processes,
HVAC is a plus!
Associates Degree (preferred)
1 year of administrative and/or customer service assistance experience (preferred)
Schedule: Monday- Friday. 8hr shift 8am-5pm
