Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Location: Wild Planet Foods, Inc. McKinleyville, CA
Hours: 40 hours/week, 12months/year
Wage: $18/hour or more DOE and other qualifications
Supervisor: Manager, Customer Service and Administration
General Information:
Full Time, 40 hours per week

This job is puts an individual at the front lines of interacting with Wild Planets customers nationwide. The Wild Planet team of 17 professionals constitutes the company headquarters staff and is located in a spacious office building in McKinelyville, CA. There is a relaxed, low-stress environment at Wild Planet, and the spirit among the staff is positive and happy.
Wild Planet is the fourth largest canned seafood company in the U.S. The company is mission-driven with the goal of both educating consumers in issues of ocean sustainability, and leading the seafood industry toward more sustainable harvest practices. The company is now branching out into land-based foods with many new product line extensions in the organic food sector. This is an environment where each associate feels the satisfaction of being part of a vital mission for people and planet.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Interaction with customers by phone, email and sometimes in person.
Customer service communication and public relations interaction.
Research and the consolidation of findings.
Assist leadership and co-workers with special projects and various duties as needed.
Receptionist and administrative duties are included in this position, approximately 10% of time.
Minimum Qualifications:
Cheerful, positive, respectful, articulate, and a good listener.
Highly proficient in written correspondence and verbal communication skills.
Detail-orientated with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work as a team player and maintain effective working relationships.
Computer skills required including proficiency in Word, Excel, QuickBooks, Outlook; also operation of multi-line phone system, fax, copier, and printers.
Preferred Qualifications:
Quick learner in a rapidly changing environment, especially as it relates to the world of e-commerce.
Strong background in natural and organic food industry.
Knowledge of canned seafood, or other industrial food production.
Enjoys talking to people, sometimes very patiently.
