We are a small friendly accounting firm in Eureka seeking to fill a front-office position. This would be a part-time to a full-time position, approximately 20 hours a week except for January through April and September through October when they would be 32-40 hours per week. These hours can vary greatly and could be full-time year-round for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Polite and friendly personality
- Attention to detail is a must
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Computer proficient in Microsoft programs
- Good organization and prioritizing skills
- Strong phone and e-mail skills
Primary duties include:
- Answering telephones, scheduling appointments, etc.
- Acting as a liaison between clients and accountants
- Handle private, privileged and/or sensitive information with absolute confidentiality
- Assemble client packets & financial documents and statements
- Prepare documents and packages for shipping via FedEx, UPS, and USPS
- Scan documents to the digital filing system
- Other administrative support tasks as requested
Projected compensation: $13 per hour for the first 30 days, then $15 per hour. Regular compensation increases and the option of training and movement into a bookkeeping/tax preparation position would be available for the right candidate.
