Property Management Opportunity
Jacoby Creek Real Estate (JCRE) is a 17-employee real estate investment company founded in 1992 by Peter Martin. Currently, we own and manage RV parks, mobile home parks, and residential apartment units. The current inventory consists of 700 units. We are continually growing and looking to bring on a new employee to grow with us!
The open position is a full-time Property Manager role in Arcata, CA. The days are Monday-Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. The individual filling this capacity will work well autonomously and in a team environment. They will maintain a professional and positive businesslike attitude in all communications. Experience in property management and a college degree are both preferred. The Property Manager role requires the use of AppFolio; therefore, experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.

Knowledge of basic real estate and landlord-tenant laws and issues
Responsibilities:
Preparing leases and reviewing them periodically
Interfacing with repair and maintenance personnel
Visual inspection of properties including units and common areas
Review and approve or reject tenant applications
Supervising onsite managers for all properties as needed
Troubleshooting client complaints
Follow up on late/delinquent rents
Use AppFolio as needed
Resident notices including inspection, eviction, new rules, violations
Prepare marketing advertisements for vacant units
Understand fair housing laws
Handle service requests
Compensation:
Full-time, salaried position starting at $40,000/annually.
