This is a temporary position supporting the North Coast Testing Partnership. The estimated length of this position is from 6-9 months.

UIHS requires a background check and a drug screening for all employees. Our drug screening tests include screening for THC.

The person in this position coordinates off-site logistics, maintains courier agreement/commination, designs, and manages laboratory information system (LIS), observes the operational workflow of the project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Reports to the UIHS Laboratory manager and/or Public Health Laboratory Manager for daily oversight and general processes.

Understands and comply with HIPAA and other regulations concerning patient confidentiality.

Maintain a calm professional manner at all times.

Works as an effective team member to provide quality healthcare.

Organizes off-site testing sites and logistics with other UIHS staff members and public health departments.

Maintains courier agreement and communication with the courier to organization pickup and delivery of specimens from outside entities and UIHS clinics to the UIHS Potawot laboratory.

Oversee daily operations of UIHS participation in the North Coast Testing Project.

Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

Develops, designs, and formats management/query reports utilizing LabDaq.

Coordinates initial set up and modify existing user groups and clinic location in LabDaq.

Provide technical support for LabDaq tickets.

Assists in conducting training programs for laboratory personnel in the use of LabDaq.

Coordinate set up and modify orders, reference labs, test rules, and test panels.

Assist department in writing and maintaining SOPs for clinical assays. Document knowledge by reviewing and attesting to SOPs.

Maintains an organized and clean working environment.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Performs all duties in accordance with the UIHS mission, vision, and guiding principles.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

May supervise staff, volunteers, and/or interns in the implementation of the project, events, or other project-related activities. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with UIHS Policies and Procedures and applicable laws.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Educational degrees must be from a US Department of Education accredited school

Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) and two years of related experience and/or training or,

Associates Degree (AA/AS) and four years of related experience and/or training or,

Equivalent combination of education, experience, training.
