SUMMARY: Open Door Community Health Centers (ODCHC) provides quality medical, dental and mental health care and health education to all people on Californias North Coast, regardless of financial, geographic or social barriers. ODCHC is developing its business intelligence capacity and is looking for team members who are passionate about transforming data and analytics into actionable information to support our patient centered mission. This role is an opportunity to make a difference in the development and delivery of health care in the community, providing decision-makers and front-line staff with the information, understanding, and analysis they need. The Analyst provides and enhances a number of routine and ad hoc reports, develops and maintains dashboard summaries and supports training to users of business intelligence products. The Analyst will coordinate reporting efforts and facilitate data source development by proactively communicating across user groups to identify patterns, trends, problems or opportunities for improvements and efficiencies. The Analyst will demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills with an emphasis on team driven collaboration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Data and Reporting Analyst has duties that span clinical and non-clinical data, working to support the health care and health outcomes of diverse patient populations. The Analyst communicates with a diverse workforce during the collection and presentation of critical information. All activities are conducted in an atmosphere of collaboration and team work.
-Works with subject matter experts at all levels of the organization to identify areas of inquiry and sources of data;
-Designs reports, summaries and analyses including graphs, statistics, images and lists;
-Presents data and analytical findings to various audiences and stakeholders within the organization;
-Develop and maintain reporting library, documenting report functions and presentation formats;
-Adherence to ODCHC policies and protocols; and,
-Other related duties as identified, assigned and required by the Director of Business Intelligence.
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will possess a broad range of technical and creative skills and experience and be able to bring those skills to bear on improving health care systems and patient outcomes, including:
-A bachelors degree in a related field;
-A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in a directly related area, with demonstrable professional capacity;
-Experience in and working knowledge of systems, with emphasis on data extraction/reporting soft-ware, visualization, and analytics;
-Strong problem-solving, organization and team skills;
-Proven record of delivering products on time and within budget;
-Proven ability to document in complete, clear, concise language understandable to others;
-Excellent project management skills, and strong attention to detail,
-Excellent written and verbal skills, including ability to present and discuss data and reports with em-ployees at all levels of the organization;
-Have a valid California Drivers License, an insurable driving record and means of transportation to travel throughout the ODCHC service area.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Degree in computer science or health information management;
-Experience with Tableau, SQL Server Reporting Services or other enterprise reporting platforms;
-Strong relational database skills and advanced scripting skills highly desired;
-Familiarity with health care delivery, health care data systems, electronic health records;
-Familiarity with accounting and finance practices and principles;
