POSITION SUMMARY:

Bowling: Responsible for all facets of bowling operations, including but not limited to bowling personnel management, managing cost center labor, facility cleanliness and managing preventative maintenance. In addition, schedules and procures league business and ensures a positive guest experience and works with the FEC Director on bowling related promotions and group events.

Games: Responsible for maximizing game profitability and utilization, queuing systems, game layout, game movement, redemption product display and inventory, lane maintenance, and assisting the FEC Director with game/entertainment promotions. Also responsible for facility daily maintenance, daily cleaning project schedule, and maintenance personnel scheduling.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Bowling:

Ensure all operating and quality standards are met for guest service, facility cleanliness and shoe cleanliness.

Preserve and maintain in good working order all bowling assets: bowling equipment, pins, balls, shoes and lanes

P&L responsibility for the bowling cost center, repair & maintenance related costs centers and labor budget.

Facilitate and approve all of the personnel management actions for the department including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, disciplining, and evaluating.

Responsible for generating all reports for the FEC Director, including but not limited to Lanes Outage Report, Per Cap and Games vs. Shoes Report

Building and managing league business

Develop the bowling team by establishing goals and coaching them for continuous improvement.

Participates in management meetings and communicates to management on bowling operations.

Participates in banquet meetings.

Coordinate all staffing issues with FEC Director.

Review all banquets for upcoming special events related to lane usage.

Works with technical team to maintain AV and PM standards on the lanes.

Manage operations, guest service and problem resolution.

Develop Team Member staff through hiring, training, reviewing, delegation and follow-up.

Manage labor cost.

Oversee lane area organization and cleanliness.

Manage department costs to meet budgetary goals.

Oversee daily equipment maintenance.

Oversee parts inventory, ordering and receiving.

Administration duties including Team Member scheduling, progressive discipline and reviews.

Games:

Oversee daily operation of facility.

Quality control.

Management of game profitability & utilization through movement, layout, & promotions.

Ensure all operating and quality standards are met.

Team Member hiring, training and development.

Management of the games including profitability, pay-outs, redemption product display and inventories, queuing systems, layout and movement.

Assists management with game promotions.

Facility maintenance management including cleaning projects.

Scheduling of maintenance personnel.

Interacts with guests and provides excellent customer service.

Cash handling.

Other duties as assigned.

AUTHORITY/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Will have supervisory responsibilities that includes the following: hiring and scheduling of personnel, problem resolution, progressive discipline and team member reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of three years operations management experience. Would prefer a bowling background, however not mandatory. Excellent Guest Relations skills. Basic knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Shall possess a valid driver's license and be insurable by agencies insurance.

COMPUTER OPERATIONS

Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

LANUGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.).

Must be able to work with American Indian people and be sensitive to their culture.

Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or

Human Resources.

Participate in proactive team efforts of Bear River Casino Resort.
