The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Software Engineering Manager to join the Electrostatically Supported Gyro Navigator - Replacement Team located in Huntington Beach, CA. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manages, develops and motivates employees performing activities within multiple (2 or more) Engineering disciplines.
• Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
• Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite in Huntington Beach, CA.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a Top-Secret US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Ability to obtain Top-Secret US Security clearance (Post-Start).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, electrical/electronics, aerospace, computer science, mathematics, or physics
• 5+ years of experience leading or managing cross-functional or cross-organizational teams within engineering.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience in software development lifecycle
• Experience with communication and interaction with other Boeing organizations, suppliers, customers, and stakeholders to ensure effective integration and execution of a plan
• Experience as Control Account Manager

Typical Education/Experience: The below will be adjusted based on the level / position

• Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience)
• In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Travel: up to 10%

Relocation:

This position is located in Huntington Beach, CA and relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
