Red Salmon Cannery – is hiring seafood processors for the 2021 Salmon Season!
The salmon season begins in mid to late June and can last until the first week of August.
Red Salmon Cannery is a division of North Pacific Seafoods and is located in Naknek, a village in the Bristol Bay region of Alaska. Bristol Bay is known as the “Red Salmon Capital of the World”.
Each first-year processor will earn $12.36 per hour, and $18.54 per hour for overtime worked. During the peak of the season fishing is heavy and our facility operates 24 hours a day. At this point you may work up to 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, with no days off. In Alaska employees are paid overtime after 8 hours of work, and after 40 regular hours in a week. This could provide a chance to work lots of overtime when the plant is in full production.
We are looking for hard-working employees who have the commitment and mindset to push through long, hard days.
Requirements:
All applicants must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S.A and be able to:
· Available to work from mid-June to the first week of August
· Stand on your feet for up to 16 hours per day, 7 days a week in a cold and moist environment
· Work with seafood
· Lift up to 40 pounds repeatable through your work shift
· Follow all direction and adhere of plant rules
· Be prompt and reliable - attendance is an essential function of this job
