PURCHASING SPECIALISTS NEEDED ASAP

Objective

• To Place, schedule, and follow-up on orders to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.

• To Predict required packaging or resources according to customer requests and coordinate with vendors to obtain products.

• To analyze and determine healthy sales margins taking in consideration shifting costs and expenses.

Responsibilities

• Actively engages with production, project management, and other staff to provide a high level of responsiveness and communication of purchasing activity

• Manages suppliers and supply-base for improvement and to achieve performance requirements, best possible pricing, terms and conditions; assists suppliers with corrective action process involving other individuals as necessary

• Efficiently and accurately completes take-off activities including reviewing measurements, determining quantities and costs of materials associated with the project

• Utilizes a methodical process to ensure margins and requirements are sufficiently defined, consider and identified costs and expenses, to produce healthy transactions

• Ensures timing of material receipt coincides with the productions schedule, and takes into account schedule changes; anticipates production demand and supplier capability in order to ensure supply; verifies incoming materials meet IPS needs

• Under the leadership of the Operations Manager, negotiates purchase contracts and discounts with suppliers to improve company margin; explores source of materials existing with current or potential new vendor relationships; develops and executes on evaluation system for vendor selection

• Exhibits high degree of knowledge about commodities, suppliers and market conditions to support achievement of performance targets and source selection; conducts research to understand supply markets

• Accurately submits purchase orders accordingly to the approved vendor quotes

• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular management and staff meetings

• To keep all equipment and tools under his/her responsibility in excellent conditions

• To keep account information confidential and protect it from unauthorized use

• To follow up on the customer's issue until it is solved

• To perform any other tasks, duties, or services requested by his/her immediate superior

• Place, schedule, and follow-up on orders by providing a quality service, as to guarantee total satisfaction and accomplish client's expectations, while seeking the most efficient ways to accomplish this.

Academic and Training Requirements

Formal Education

High School graduate or College associate

Work Experience

Previous experience in accounting (Must)

Languages

English: Native

Spanish: Good (Desirable)
