Seeks Line Cooks, Prep Cooks & Dishwashers
Celebrating the culinary heritage of Mexico, Tortilla Jo's is the place to be when visiting Downtown Disney. Our south-of-the-border Mexican cuisine, tableside guacamole, and tequila libations all promote the authenticity of our open kitchen restaurant. A sweeping view of the promenade is seen from our outdoor patio and balcony, each equipped with a fully stocked bar. The inside cantina is home to over 100 types of tequila that give your margarita an unforgettable flavor. Our vibrant spirit and modern pueblo atmosphere make dining at Tortilla Jo's an experience not to be missed for Mexican food lovers.
THE LINE / PREP COOK REQUIREMENTS
Holding a current food handlers card
Line Cooks: Minimum 2 years experience working in a high volume, full service restaurant
Prep Cooks: 1 year experience working in a high volume, full service restaurant
Experience with and knowledge of Mexican/Latin cuisine a plus
Excellence in prepping and planning
Clean work habits and attention to detail
Resourceful and well organized
Ability to think quick on their feet and multi-task, maintain poise and a sense of humor amidst a fast paced and demanding environment
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Team player with an openness and commitment to learn
Standing and walking eight-hour shifts
Certificate or degree in Culinary Arts a plus (or equivalent experience)
Ability to communicate effectively
Flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
THE DISHWASHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a current food handler's card
No experience necessary
Has a good sense of urgency
A team player with a positive attitude
Ability to think quick on their feet and multi-task in a fast paced environment
Resourceful and organized with clean work habits & attention to detail
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Standing and walking eight-hour shifts
Ability to lift heavy items with ease when needed (at least 20-30 pounds)
Ability to communicate effectively
Bilingual a plus
Flexible availability including nights, weekends and holidays
