Basic Functions: To assist all three departments of activities when needed.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
1. Assist in implementing program and activities for all residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care.
2.Work varied hours to coincide with activities on the calendar, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
3.Help with decorating the facility to reflect current season or holiday.
4.Generate enthusiasm from residents and staff to participate in activities.
5.Assist in coordinating programs in conjunction with other departments, and inform all departments of scheduled activities.
6.Accompany residents on outings when occasion arises.
7.Attend ongoing continuing education courses and in-courses and in-services, especially in ALU/Memory Care.
8.Help to implement activity board/calendar on a monthly basis.
9.Help directors to ensure all activity areas are accessible to residents, and ensure that equipment, supplies are kept in safe area as to not be a hazard or safety issue to all residents.
10. Help directors to keep activity rooms, crafts storage areas clean and tidy at all times.
11.All other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications:
1.Professional dress, behavior and speech.
2.No showing of facial piercings or body tattoos.
3.Good vision, physical, mental health.
4. Good organizational skills.
5.Good interpersonal skills.
6.Ability to work flexible hours, days.
7.Ability to communicate well with others.
8.Good written, verbal communication skills.
