Medical Doctor-Family Practice, Barstow, Ca High Desert Area
Practice Details:
⢠Clinic hours 8am-5pm
⢠40 hours per week - Monday-Friday with ½ day for admin and ½ day for specialty clinic
⢠1 hour break for lunch
⢠24-26 average patients per day volume - including walk-ins (no-show rate approximately 4)
⢠80% senior and medical 20% commercial
⢠Physicians see cradle to grave with a variety of pathologies (unless they are an Internal Medicine physician)
⢠Physicians are able to practice a variety of procedures, if they choose
⢠Barstow clinic has 2 physicians and 2 advanced practitioners with front-end support as well
⢠MA support staff
⢠Incoming physician will have their own office space with 3 or 4 exam rooms
⢠All-Scripts EMR
⢠30,000 lives are currently under our Groups care
⢠2 month on-boarding orientation with ramp up period granted for new grads
⢠HPSA score 16
Continuity of care:
⢠Sup-specialty back up via local hospital with physicians affiliated with the group
⢠To foster communication, the Group holds Thursday meetings to discuss and obtain updates on patients in the hospital
⢠Physicians are involved in community outreach clinics (i.e. Skilled Nursing Facility)
Financial and Benefits:
⢠$220k starting salary - negotiable based off of training and experience
⢠Bonus structure is up to $15k a quarter; most physicians hit around $10k
⢠Quarterly bonus structure - based off of Stars and Hedis scores and other factors
⢠2nd year income potential reaching $300k - combined with various income streams
⢠Benefits including; Medical malpractice insurance, CME allowance and time off to attend coursework, PTO of 14 days paid vacation, 7 days of paid sick-time, 7 paid holidays, 401k with 3.5% match and shareholder potential after the first year of employment and more
⢠Various fees are also paid for by the group
⢠Annually our Group hosts a get-away meeting at 5-Star resort for their providers for annual kick off meetings
Growth Potential
o After first year of employment, physicians are able to become a shareholder of the group
o Once the initial contract is completed with the group, physicians have an option of running their own solo-practice or stay employed
o In a solo-practice setting, physicians are able to keep their own panel of patients and use the services provided via our medical group. This can be further explained by the group.
Must have completed internal or Family Medicine Residency to be considered for the position.
