Responsibilities Checklist
Building & Unit Maintenance
☐ Perform repairs on doors, locks, hinges, windows, and cabinets
☐ Handle basic plumbing tasks (unclog drains, fix leaks, replace faucets)
☐ Complete basic electrical repairs (outlets, switches, light fixtures)
☐ Patch and repair drywall; paint as needed
☐ Perform appliance troubleshooting and minor repairs
☐ Repair or replace garbage disposals
☐ Address heating/AC filter changes and minor maintenance
☐ Maintain and repair common areas (laundry rooms, hallways, grounds)
General Duties
☐ Complete work orders in a timely manner
☐ Assist with move-in and move-out inspections
☐ Perform preventative maintenance tasks
☐ Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas
☐ Coordinate with property manager for larger repairs or vendor services
☐ Provide great customer service to residents and staff
Requirements Checklist
☐ Must have your own reliable vehicle
☐ Must have a valid California driver’s license
☐ Must have your own set of tools
☐ Must pass a background check
☐ Must pass a drug test
☐ 1+ year of maintenance or handyman experience preferred
☐ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work
☐ Ability to troubleshoot issues independently
☐ Strong communication and customer service skills
☐ Must be dependable and punctual
Preferred Skills
☐ Experience in apartment or property maintenance
☐ Ability to read and follow work orders and maintenance logs
☐ Bilingual is a plus (not required)
