We are looking for a skilled Graphic Design Artist with print-shop experience to create clean, professional, and production-ready artwork for our customers. This role focuses on designing apparel graphics, creating mockups, preparing print files, and ensuring every design is ready for screen printing, DTF, embroidery, or other print processes.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Design & Artwork
Create custom artwork for clients based on their ideas, sketches, or branding.
Design logos, apparel graphics, marketing materials, and merchandise layouts.
Provide creative direction and ensure all art matches customer expectations.
Mockups & Proofs
Build realistic product mockups (shirts, hoodies, hats, totes, flannels, etc.).
Prepare digital proofs for customer approval, including placement, size, and color details.
Revise designs quickly based on customer or team feedback.
Production-Ready File Setup
Convert artwork into proper print formats: vector, outlines, high-resolution raster.
Prepare files for screen printing (color separations, sizing, halftones if needed).
Format artwork for DTF and embroidery when required.
Ensure all files meet print specifications (bleed, DPI, dimensions).
Shop & Workflow Support
Collaborate with production team to ensure artwork matches print capabilities.
Label and organize all artwork files for smooth workflow.
Communicate design details, color choices, and placement instructions clearly.
Maintain consistency with shop branding and repeat client preferences.
Qualifications
Experience in a print shop, screen printing environment, or apparel design preferred.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CorelDRAW (vector-focused).
Strong understanding of screen printing limitations and design requirements.
Ability to create clean vector art and prepare files for multiple print methods.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills and ability to interpret customer ideas.
Preferred Skills
Ability to redraw or recreate low-quality art into production-ready vector files.
Knowledge of PMS color matching and print color theory.
Understanding of garment sizing, placements, and print specs.
Experience designing for branding, uniforms, merchandise, or promotional products.
Photography/editing experience for listing product photos is a plus.
