We're looking for someone with a can-do attitude that loves making things in a fast-moving manufacturing environment, and ideally has a passion for saving the environment. We're a 5 year-old, fast growing startup that has raised $2M in grants and is just starting to enter the market.
Activities and Responsibilities:
Competency in sheet metal and light structural fabrication
Competency in Mig & Tig welding
Competency in Manual Mill and Lathe Machining
Adhere to machine shop and mechanical equipment safety standards and best practices
Disassemble, Inspect, Report and Re-assemble rotating equipment.
Prepare inspection report of machinery with repair recommendations
Competent use of measuring devices and capable of recording data
Prepare purchase requests for parts and repair work
Maintain clean and organized work area
Assist others when needed in the repair process
Materials handling and rigging
General electrical awareness
Skills, Qualifications, and Abilities:
High School diploma or equivalent
Work in a safety oriented environment
Must have valid drivers license
Ability to work independently
Mechanical and rigging abilities
Operate equipment required to operate shear, press break, saws, plasma, mill & lathe
Basic Computer Skills
Organizational skills for parts and inventory
Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
Maintain high quality of workmanship and productivity
Experience with AC electrical and automation machine controls a plus
