The purpose of a Assembler is to perform welding duties including fabrication of industrial equipment, including adjusting and checking final assemblies. Chamberlain Assembler will also ensure the consistent quality of the work while also observing all safety regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operate welding, grinding, and cutting equipment.
Align parts or work pieces to ensure proper assembly.
Shape metal work pieces with hammers or other small hand tools.
Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications.
Lay out parts to prepare for assembly.
Smooth metal surfaces or edges.
Mount materials or work pieces onto production equipment.
Reshape metal workpieces to established specifications.
Heat material or workpieces to established specifications.
Fill cracks, imperfections, or holes in products or workpieces.
Drill holes in parts, equipment, or materials.
Clean work pieces or finished products.
Meet production productivity standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Forklift Certification; Welding Certification.
Ability to read drawings and other necessary documents to complete job.
Calculate in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
Reliable, detail orientated and self-motivated.
Able to understand and follow detailed instruction/directions.
Be eager to pitch in wherever necessary to reach a goal.
Deliver work with strict deadlines.
Stand for extended periods of time,
Occasionally lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
Squat, crouch, bend, twist, lift, pull, and reach.
Manual dexterity and flexibility with fingers and hands.
