1) PURCHASING COORDINATOR ($18-24/hr.)

The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for arranging the purchase of raw materials, supplies and services on behalf of their employers. This position involves purchasing physical products, data entry, creation of reports and other administrative work as needed; it requires constant communication with representatives in other departments, states and countries (Mexico) of the company, keeping them up to date on status of orders and assisting with any necessary returns or recalls.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Analyze material usage and create Bill of Material (BOM) and enter into ERP.

Inventory control/counts and posts totals to inventory records.

Prepares reports, such as inventory balance and shortages.

Prepares list of depleted items and creates report of defective or unusable items.

Prepare purchase orders, send copies to suppliers and to departments originating requests.

Communicate with all internal and external parties associated with a PO.

Respond to supplier inquiries regarding order status, changes or cancellations.

Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries.

Resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries.

Track order status.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1-3 years purchasing/inventory experience in a manufacturing setting.

Experience in agricultural businesses, preferable but not required.

Must be able to work in both an office and warehouse setting.

Excellent computer skills - word, excel, and outlook.

Must be bilingual (Spanish).

Detail-oriented, Multi-tasker.

High problem-solving ability and analytical thinker.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written at all levels.

Quality control knowledge.

Understanding of weights and measurements.

Good math skills

Customer service.

Data entry.

Exposure to Excel and Microsoft Office.

2) Quality Document Control Admin ($14-16/hr.)

This position will assist in performing day to day requirements of the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and update all records, manuals, training procedures, and product specifications pertaining to food safety and quality control

Respond to preliminary quality assurance requests from customers and submit complicated requests to the FSQA Manager

Assists with enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety Program and procedures and ISO program

Assist with ISO training of warehouse and office staff at regularly scheduled intervals

Conducts internal auditing according to policies in ISO and document-control related areas

Responsible for maintenance of the Quality Action Log and issuing numbers as necessary as well as tracking progress of the actions taken

Assists with updates of ISO Processes

Performs other duties as required by Management

QUALIFICATIONS:

Internal Auditing

Attention to Detail

Interested in improvements

Bilingual is a plus but not required

Produce industry/Manufacturing experience

Basic knowledge and experience creating training documents

Basic knowledge or exposure to ISO and Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Programs and procedures
