HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC FOR IMMEDIATE HIRE
We are currently looking for skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanics to assemble, maintain and repair machinery. Our Service Technicians are responsible for repair and maintenance of JLG and/or related equipment or components, following established procedures and guidelines. Types of equipment are aerial equipment such as boom lifts, reach machines and scissor lifts.
Skills
Knowledge of machinery and hydraulic systems, a plus
Aptitude in using a multimeter is beneficial
Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instructions
A problem-solving ability
Responsibilities
Repair aerial lift machines and mechanical components are the technician's main responsibilities
Inspect lift machines, engines, transmissions
Good attendance and good work ethic a must
Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
Perform maintenance on equipment as instructed
Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components
Replenish fluids and components of engines and equipment
Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to customers
Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic & electrical systems)
Complete paperwork accurately
Will train on other aspects of the job
