Local gym needs Maintenance Tech. $12 to $15 per hour depending on experience.
This position works on all weight equipment, cardio machines, building issues, and audio visual equipment. Previous experience in gym maintenance, general handyman, or building maintenance preferred.
Duties of this position include:
1)All treadmills and other cardio machines must be taken apart every 2 weeks to clean, oil, and check tolerances and tensions. Also, replace any parts that are worn such as belts, motors, boards, switches, and screens.
2)Weight machines need to be lubed monthly and inspected for replacement of pins, cables, and padding.
3)At first of each month go on roof to change AC filters, wash out coils, check belts and pulleys.
4)Electronics maintenance includes changing out, rewiring, and trouble shooting TVs, DVD players, wireless transmitters, speakers, projectors, and stage lighting.
5)Touch up paint weekly on scuffs and dings. Also, fix drywall if gets cracked.
6)Plumbing -- Snake out back ups, replace sinks, replace shower cartridges, etc.
