Due to expansion, D7 Services in Riverside, CA has an immediate opening for a Sheet Metal Field Supervisor. This position will be part of a team of experienced construction professionals specializing in Architectural Sheet Metal designs and installations. D7 Services specializes in fabrication and installation of Architectural Sheet Metal, Metal siding and cladding and ACM Panels in Southern CA. Markets served includes; Commercial, Industrial, Medical, and Hospitality.

Job Description

The Sheet Metal Field Supervisor is responsible for leading a Sheet Metal Foreman and their crew to perform work safely and productively following and adhering to D7 Service standards and the customers. This is done through coordinating and assisting Project Managers and leading the foreman of each project to ensure safety, teamwork, and discipline are at the highest standards. The Sheet Metal Field Supervisor leads in a manner to ensure high-quality service and results are provided consistently. This position represents the company through interactions directly with customers, personnel and the public in a professional manner.

The Sheet Metal Field Supervisor manages all aspects of production through meeting the project goals and the goals of D7 Services. This is accomplished through maintaining and understanding of contract specifications and additional information for the jobs. They track and maintain labor hours and material needs and usage in compliance with each projects goals.

This position leads with a Safety-first mindset by ensuring safety standards are followed to their fullest adherence. They conduct and support continuous safety audits and gives any non-compliance results priority in resolving. During their pre-job planning, they review each site and develops site-specific safety plans which include processes, required PPE, materials, tools and machine usage. Through the Safety-first mindset, they ensure all near misses, accidents, and thefts are reported and then immediately personally investigates each report through on-site visits, documentation, and photos.

The Sheet Metal Field Superintendent reviews plans and sites, delegates crew and does all of the pre-job site-specific planning including but not limited to creating the safety and work plan efficiencies. This position is responsible for discovering, pointing out and assisting in resolutions for any concerns at all stages of a project. They complete and submit reports and paperwork through coordination with each site ensuring the lines of communication between the office and job sites are maintained and promote a teamwork culture.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years proven previous work experience in the field of sheet metal.

Safety Training: Current understanding of all OSHA regulations pertaining to all aspects of the projects.

Valid Drivers license.

Bilingual “ helpful but not required

Must be able to read and understand plans/blueprints.

Able to work with the Microsoft Office Suite environment.

Good Communication skills both verbal and non-verbal.

Supervisory experience with a crew and in the field.

Experience with different types of commercial sheet metal applications, architectural sheet metal applications, and ACM applications.
