Technology Education Manager headquartered in Irvine, California.Atrial
fibrillation (AFIB) is a quivering or irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia) that can
lead to blood clots, stroke, heart failure and other heart-related
complications. 20 million people around the world suffer from AFIB each year. Biosense
Webster, Inc. is the global leader in the science of diagnosing and treating
heart rhythm disorders. The company established its leadership in
electrophysiology with the development of the first real-time, 3D cardiac
mapping and navigation technology, as well as the first electrophysiology
catheter. The introduction of the company’s CARTO® 3 System in 2009
revolutionized 3D mapping technology by increasing the accuracy, speed, and
efficiency of the cardiac ablation procedure.The New
Technology Education Manager position is critical to the success of the
organization. Key responsibilities include development and implementation of
both internal and external training programs for assigned product launches as
well as any training updates required for the existing product portfolio. In
addition, this position is also responsible to provide clinical input into
product development activities. Successful people
in this role take a strong interest in their assigned products and how they are
used, becoming true subject matter experts and leaders in Biosense Webster.Duties
& Responsibilities
Responsible for creation and
execution of New Product External Evaluation training material and
training plans for global markets for the product lines assigned
Partner with Global Education
team to align educational content for New Product Introductions (NPIs)
regarding Limited and Full Market Product Releases
Serve as subject matter expert to
assist regions with adaptation of standardized global training material
for individual market needs
Provide expertise and guidance to
Global Strategic Marketing (GSM) team on the establishment of training
priorities for both long term and short term objectives
Works with commercial marketing
teams world-wide to ensure consistent messaging and training of assigned
products
Develops physician relationships
globally to gather clinical and product feedback
Participates in VOC, Congresses,
and Tech Suite activities aligned with NPIs and Product Launches
Collaborates in the product
pipeline recommendations (portfolio review)
Extended team member for assigned
new product development projects
Keeps expertise in updated
training technology
Ensures compliance with Global
Copy Review standards and regulatory policies
QualificationsEducation:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
is required
Experience
and Skills:Required:
At least 6 years of relevant
business experience
Electrophysiology and Atrial
Fibrillation knowledge is required
Prior experience in working with
3D Mapping technology and field electrophysiology experience is required
Preferred:
Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical
experience is strongly preferred
Experience with building training
programs and training delivery is preferred
Possess the ability to learn
complex technology/clinical applications
Strong presentation and customer
relations skill.
Able to forge strong
relationships with key partners, including R&D and regional education
and marketing leaders
Communication and project
management skills are critical
Ability to be
flexible and agile with fluid product timelines and activities Other:
Willing to work in both clinical
and animal facilities, and capable of wearing protective lead clothing
