The Solaris Specialist will be responsible for the ongoing support of over 100 Solaris zones. In addition, they will be implementing documentation standards.



location: Irvine, California

job type: Contract

salary: $85 - 95 per hour

work hours: 8am to 5pm

education: Bachelors



responsibilities:


  • Ensuring the ongoing operations of 100+ zones.
  • Assisting in the documentation of our current environment.
  • Ability to learn just-in-time, participating in a high visibility, high-impact project to implement resilience & disaster recovery for several dozen of these Solaris workloads
  • Depending on expertise, provide recommendations for improving the environment.
  • Participates in on-call rotation.





qualifications:


  • Experience level: Experienced
  • Minimum 6 years of experience
  • Education: Bachelors (required)


skills:
  • Oracle (6 years of experience is required)
  • ORACLE APPS (6 years of experience is required)
  • Solaris 11.4 (2 years of experience is required)
  • Solaris Zones (2 years of experience is required)
  • UNIX (6 years of experience is required)
