JOB SUMMARY

The Data Validation Analyst is responsible for validating processes, outcomes and BI reports developed by the Data and Analytics team. This individual will also be responsible for overseeing, preparing, processing, and analyzing data to make the data valuable and useful for operational and/or decision-making purposes. This position reports directly to the Manager, Pharmacy Business Intelligence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under general direction, specific duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Manages field validation for raw data:

o Identifies data or systems not adhering to the normal data standards

o Tracks issues for the purpose of identifying the severity level

• Creates daily and weekly reports used to document data validation for use by other teams

• Provides quality guidance and assessment to ensure maintenance of validated systems are managed in accordance with current corporate and regulatory requirements.

• Discovers and diagnoses modeling related risks including input data, assumption, concept, methodology, process and implementation.

• Validates data in new and existing BI Reports (Looker) before dashboards are pushed to production

o Tie out data to Oracle and SalesForce

o Verify all labels and notes are clear and meaningful in order to limit the number of questions from the business after release

• Extracts and manipulates data to perform trend calculations, identify benchmarking opportunities and business needs, and measure process or organizational performance. Extracts patterns from data to transform data into information.

• Review code (SQL, PL/SQL, Powershell) written by the Data and Analytics team to ensure stability, efficiency and accuracy

• Demonstrate commitment to achieving Company's core business objectives of increasing the role of pharmacy and improving patient health in America.

• Experience working with healthcare professionals in a clinical setting.

• Experience resolving issues that do not have clear answers.

• Highly motivated and possessed excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and technical skills.

SKILLS, EDUCATION, OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent from four-year college; or 4+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Three or more years of healthcare experience, one or more years of healthcare data analyst experience is preferred.
  • At least one year experience in SQL, knowledge of relational data base concepts and file structures.
  • Knowledge of business analytical practices and methodologies.
  • Systematic and orderly planning abilities, with a high attention to detail.
  • Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and work rapidly in a constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively and interact with all levels of management including executive leadership.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• The Company's office located in Irvine, California and Quincy, Massachusetts.

o Employee may work virtually with prior approval by manager and Human Resources

• Must work in office: Monday - Friday.

• Travel to trade shows, educational or sales events as may be required.

• Collaboration across remote sites within the company
