Business / Data Analyst Project Consultant

Location: Irvine, CA (100% remote - must be able to work PST hours)

Contract Length: 3 months +

Background:
We have an urgent requirement for a Business/Data Analyst our Client's COVID-19 Dashboard and student asymptomatic testing projects. This resource will provide data analysis, document requirements, coordinate the collection of data definitions, and support ad-hoc data requests for student/employee asymptomatic testing compliance, contact tracing, and all COVID-19 related dashboards. The incumbent will also function as a liaison between the technical team and functional subject matter experts.

• Data Validation
• Requirements Analysis
• Requirements Documentation
• Data Definitions
• Data Flow Documentation
• Ad-Hoc queries as needed
• Testing of data and dashboards

Required Skills:

• Data Analysis
• SQL for querying data
• Experience querying/reporting from relational databases
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Experience collecting and documenting functional requirements
• Experience working with sensitive data
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience as a liaison between functional and technical teams
• Experience working on fast-paced projects

Preferred Skills:

• Report and dashboard development
• Tableau development
• Experience querying/reporting from dimensional models (star schemas)
• Experience working with cross-functional teams
• Experience working in higher education
• Experience using Confluence, JIRA and ServiceNow for project documentation
