Summary:
The Senior IT Product/Project Manager has the overall responsibility for defining and managing the internal software product development strategy, features, and roadmap. She or He will manage internal software development projects from “cradle to grave”. This includes driving the design and architecture, its implementation and its deployment. The Senior IT Product Manager will create, maintain, and communicate the timeline and roadmap of the organization’s software development activities to all stakeholders.
The Senior IT Project/Product Manager also works with minimal supervision on projects of moderate to high complexity. He/She serves as a liaison between the business community and Information Technology (I.T.). This position will coordinate project planning and reporting to ensure completion of key deliverables related to IT Business and Department Projects as well as IT department activities. This position also compiles and tracks the financial reporting of the IT organization.

• 7+ Years of experience in Information Technology
• 2-4 years of in software development project management for a technology consulting company, software technology company or Information Technology department
• Strong Information Technology proficiency, including technology trends
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and SMEs
• Ability to articulate design concepts and solutions verbally and in written documentation
• Exemplary team player who collaborates well with peers, subordinates, and superiors.
• Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. Experience working with a structured methodology such as RUP and an “agile” software development process preferred
• Knowledge of Atlassian Jira, Rally, Smartsheet, or similar application preferred
• Strong categorization/information organization skills
• Strong knowledge in software development best practices
• Strong financial acumen with ability to develop a budget, track performance and forecast
• Experience with Cloud Native software development, desired
• Must be able to work well in fast-paced, dynamic environments

Education and/or Experience:
The desired Senior IT Product/Project Manager will possess a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics or related field or the equivalent in education and work experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of internal software roadmaps and to ensure successful introductions across the organization and with customers
• Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets for software development activities
• Identify resource requirements and highlight gaps across various stages for all software development projects
• Own report-outs for all software development projects, highlighting status, risks, mitigations and opportunities
• Create and analyze relevant information and develop recommendations that they present to senior management
• Act as the key liaison between the software development team and other stakeholders in IT, stakeholders in the broader organization, Vendors and Customers
• Possess a broad knowledge of most technical and business resources and use them to effectively coordinate team members and external resources.
• Utilize the appropriate technologies and ensure that customers have the solutions they need, when they need them, and in the media best suited to their requirements
• Collaborate with architecture and operations teams to ensure solution compatibility with company standards
• Collaborate with the Project Management Office Processes on the prioritization and execution of projects
• Scoping and/or manage programs, systems, and process engineering efforts. Work with key product/platform/business stakeholders to formulate the business vision, frame initial requirements, and scope the project.
• Participates in the development and management of the IT Steering Committee (ITSC) processes and presentations
• Lead project teams, including defining meeting agendas, facilitating meetings, and follow-up on action items
• Translate business or customer needs. Work with the customer to elicit and distill requirements and perspectives from different sources and integrate and refine the information into a consistent vision, direction, and outcome for technical development or organizational change.
• Translate technical issues. Explain technical/architectural complexities to project stakeholders; understand and communicate technical or project-plan impact to requirements.
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs.
• Identify and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies to management as needed.
• Participates in identifying solutions for cross-functional project and ensures mapped solutions satisfy business problems and opportunities.
• Breaks down complex concepts into comprehensible concepts to ensure appropriate level of communication and understanding for the project stakeholders.
• Identifies addresses, negotiates, records, reports, manages and escalates action items, risks and issues associated to the project.
• Develop and maintain project and portfolio financial budget and track financial performance
• Participate in field research in pursuit of new solutions and to evaluate the applicability and usefulness of current solutions

Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Senior IT Product Manager will be responsible for supervising the activities and outcomes of our software development suppliers(s), where appropriate.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
PMP, Scrum Master or other relevant project management professional certification preferred.
