Software Engineer: .NET core (web) + API + SQL + React, AWS, or Azure required (AWS serverless, Python, NoSQL a +) The Software Engineer will apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering and analysis to provide software solutions. He/she will assist in designing and developing front-end software, server-side software, and databases. Job Expectations + Essential Functions
Analyze software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and budget constraints
Develop web applications ensuring cross-platform (web and mobile) optimization
Develop software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle
Document solutions as appropriate using flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, etc.
Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
Troubleshoot complex software and system issues; drive root cause understanding and implement corrective actions; provide timely communications back to customers and key stakeholders.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
5+ years’ experience developing web applications with:
ASP.NET
.NET Core
C#
Web services
REST API design
MS SQL including database schema design (2016 or newer preferred), database stored procedures, triggers, views, and jobs.
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery a plus
Proficient in using Git and Visual Studio
Required to have 1 or more of the following:
Single page application JavaScript (React preferred, Angular in lieu of may be considered)
Cloud experience (AWS preferred, Azure in lieu of may be considered)
AWS serverless (lambda functions) / experience with Serverless Framework
Experience with Agile development, DevOps, CI/CD, Test Automation frameworks is highly desirable.
Performance Optimization
Secure design and coding
Highly-available distributed systems design
Experience in working in small cohesive teams
Expert in performing root-cause analysis and troubleshooting complex system issues.
Codes software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers.
Has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude required.
