Job Descriptions:Review requisitions and generate purchase orders for completeness, accuracy & conformance with established policies and procedures
Confers and negotiates with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule
Tracking status of delivery of purchased material. Expedite material on request.
Update on material status in a timely manner including changing shipping conditions.
Resolve any discrepancies with suppliers and forward all necessary documentation for invoicing approval and payment to appropriate department
Purchases materials and services at the most favorable terms for the organization
Negotiates prices and terms for purchased goods and services
Maintains database of vendor and product information. Gives disposition to business matters with vendors and suppliers
Required Experience:BS Degree preferably in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Finance
3+ years purchasing experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
General understanding of metal fabrication processes and mechanical drawings is a plus
ERP systems - General knowledge
MS Excel- Advanced.
