This long-term temporary employment opportunity is based in the Long Beach, California area.ResponsibilitiesReady monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Performing contract reimbursement analysis for their government contracts
Perform monthly cost accounting and cost reporting functions
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Operate with business partners to create compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Organize quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Analyze financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations

Reporting experience required
Health care audits of Medicare and Medicaid experience
Deep understanding of government contracts
HealthCare Reimbursement experience desired
Fund accounting experience
Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting within the healthcare or non-profit industries
Vow to meet business deadlines
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are desired
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Efficient in ERP systems
Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate
Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
