DescriptionRobert Half Technology is looking for a fully remote Senior Security consultant for a long term contract with a well known company in Los Altos, CA. This role is fully remote working PST hours. To be successful in this role you will have strong experience in doing IT security HW/ SW assessments in a cloud first, fast paced environment.RequirementsSecurity contractor: InfoSec-Builds and applies a strong working knowledge of the Clients mission and objectives-Assists with vetting software and vendors and help to make sure that adequate controls and protections are embedded in solutions and processes-Assists with documenting and assessing risks associated with applications (and solutions in general) that are scheduled to be integrated in information systems and following up with developers and other stakeholders on remediation-Help to ensure information systems designs adequately incorporate protection and controls around choice, consent, collection, notice, use, retention, and disposal, and third party disclosures where applicable;-Technical understanding of information systems development, implementation, and maintenance-Top 3 Domains – 3. Network (where traffic is coming from, fluent cloud: zero on prem), 2. Application layer (identity and access management, app arch), 1. Threat hunting (feeds on monitoring, getting feeds from systems, looking for threats) – need to be great at one, most likely decent at the others-Help with assessments and investigations-Ideally more networking skills troubleshooting blocks on firewalls or incidence of compromise-Need to hit the ground running, need the technical chops-Need to be thorough, detailed in assessments-SW, incident management assessments-Vulnerability management – systems and application levelRobert Half Technology matches IT professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary, project or full-time basis.
