Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeping and Financial Systems Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reconciling accounts, managing credit card statements, implementing effective bookkeeping systems and procedures, and overseeing the flow of checks. This role requires a strong understanding of profit and loss statements, vendor payments, and cost reduction strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
-Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and compliance.
-Track and categorize all credit card statements, linking each charge to the appropriate case.
-Develop and implement robust systems and procedures for efficient bookkeeping.
-Manage all incoming and outgoing checks, ensuring timely deposits and reissues if necessary.
-Maintain records of when checks are sent and track their deposit status. Follow up with recipients and reissue checks as needed.
-Perform general bookkeeping tasks, ensuring all financial records are up-to-date and accurate.
-Analyze profit and loss statements to provide insights into financial performance.
-Monitor payments to various vendors, track annual spending, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
-Collaborate with the team to improve financial processes and enhance overall efficiency.
Qualifications:
-Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management.
-Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial systems.
-Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
-Ability to analyze financial statements and provide actionable insights.
