Description: As a Manager of Networks and IT, your duties include: Objectives of this Role:
Improve the security posture and reliability of our on-premise and Azure (and other hosted) networks and infrastructure
Support daily IT operations, as needed, including but not limited to patch management, network monitoring, and system support
Assist with security hardware and software vendor evaluation, recommendation, and negotiations
Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
Perform anti-virus and malware detection, installations, monitoring and remediations
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
Provide support and troubleshooting to resolve operational issues
Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation
Interpret network and security requirements of clients to develop plans, execute plans and implement strong processes and
procedures to generate evidence and maintain compliance
Play a key role in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of company's environments
• Engineering support and maintenance of critical networks and systems
Maintain and improve upon network security tools, policies, and procedures
Use network security tools to identify potential security incidents and support incident response efforts
Interact with customers and staff at the technical level, as required
Manage and train direct reports
Assist with internal and customer deployments of SettleCore builds
Automating processes
Perform other duties, as assigned
Managers of Networks and IT should have 8+ years of experience in the field, including 5+ years of network administration, 2+ years of network security experience, and a bachelor degree is generally required. Managers of Networks and IT should have more technical expertise in networks and IT than a senior level network engineer. Managers of Networks and IT must be comfortable with exercising independent judgment in carrying out their job responsibilities and the ability to oversee the job duties and responsibilities of senior-level, mid-level, junior-level, and intern-level network administrators and software developers.
Generally, the job must be performed onsite at the Glendora, CA office, a minimum of 1-2 days per week. The rest of the work may be done remotely. Work must be for a minimum of 40 hours per week, unless otherwise directed by a supervisor. Work hours begin any time between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., or as designated by your supervisor.
