One of the leading entertainment companies in the United States is looking to bring on a Senior DevOps Engineer to their growing team at their headquarters located in Culver City. The company was acquired by Sony Pictures and is going through a nationwide growth, adding onto their already established 300 brands, the most popular being "Dragon Ball Z", where they manage the full spectrum of rights - including broadcasting, licensing, video sales, distribution, and production. This position would be on the product team which handles the streaming functions of their shows.
Ideally the team is looking for a senior level candidate who wants to take on some management level responsibilities as the team grows. This candidate will be someone who has worked in engineering organizations creating and supporting their CI/CD processes to promote Agile development, has experience with containers, working in an AWS environment, has great communication skills, and is motivated to instill DevOps / SRE culture to the engineering team.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years' experience working in a DevOps, Cloud provisioning, and performance monitoring role.
Familiarity working in an AWS environment
Ability to work at all points in the product dev pipelines, including being hands-on contributor
Experience with IaC, preferably CloudFormation or Terraform
Experience in a containerized environment
Experience using a logging or monitoring tool
Experience building and operating scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems
Desired Skills & Experience
Strong experience using one of the following: Python or Java (preferred), Powershell, Ruby, or Bash
Knowledge of databases and system performance
Desire to grow and build highly effective teams
