If you have a flair for clearly breaking down and explaining convoluted technical information in a way that is easily understood by non-technical users, Robert Half Technology has the Desktop Support Technician role for you. This is a job where a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for working in an innovative environment can thrive. This Desktop Support Analyst position, which is a short-term temporary opportunity, is located in the Los Angeles, California, area.
What you get to do every day
- Rectify computer problems, and suggest appropriate action/solutions
- Match hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors
- Support records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
- Be in contact regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
- Give support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems
- Keep up, explore, and fix computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals
- Provide computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures

Requirements
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, user instructions, and procedure manuals
- Earlier work involving Microsoft Office 365
- Comprehensive knowledge of Computer Imaging
- Skills in Microsoft Windows
- Proven knowledge of Apple Devices
- Refresh experience
- General familiarity with Apple iPhone
- Quality experience with Apple Macintosh
- Proficiency in imaging
- Desktop Imaging experience
- Wide ranging experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience with JAMF Casper Suite
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office Word
- Practical knowledge of Apple OS
- Previous experience working with Microsoft SCCM
- Well-founded grasp of Apple iOS
- Desktop support or related experience
