ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Role is remote in the U.S. Applicants must already reside in the U.S. and this role is not eligible for sponsorship. The Senior Solution Delivery Consultant manages the presales, architecture, design, development and support of scalable, application-sequenced engagement solutions to address the enterprise-wide opportunities of Avaya customers.

To be successful in this role you will self-starting team player designing and driving collaborative solutions across all types of voice and digital communication channels.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works as a trusted advisor with the customer in identifying business problems and use cases across multiple communication technologies including Social Media, Async Messaging, Video, Chat, Email, SMS, and Voice.
  • Provides thought leadership in the strategic design process and translates business needs into technical systems solutions, preparing technical documentation for developers and assisting with development of test plans
  • Researches, architects, designs, writes and tests new software solutions
  • Enhances existing systems by analyzing and identifying areas for improvement/modification
  • Designs reporting solutions to satisfy business needs
  • Manages the integration of hardware, software and customer back-end solutions
  • Possesses project leadership responsibilities for complex projects
  • Maintains systems by monitoring, identifying and correcting software defects
  • Assists with writing deployment and operational documentation
  • Collaborates closely with other team members in a virtual work environment
  • Consults clients/colleagues concerning the maintenance and performance of software systems and asks questions to obtain information, clarifies details and implements information, and investigates new technologies
  • Constantly updates technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses, reading manuals and accessing new applications
  • Demonstrates problem-solving and lateral thinking as part of a team, or individually
  • Follows technical troubleshooting methodology
  • Manages the technical correctness and completeness of integrated system designs and provides solutions to a diverse range of complex problems
  • Contributes to the development of company objectives and principles and achieves goals in creative and effective ways
  • Shares new knowledge and lessons learned as training for other team members
  • Mentors others as a technical subject matter expert
  • Translates complex concepts and designs into simple to follow examples

ABOUT THE REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience with application integration and complex technology systems.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Must be comfortable speaking/presenting content
  • Must be Detail Oriented.
  • Time Management and Self Management skills expected.
  • Must be effective in a virtual working environment.
  • Web API (Application Programming Interface) experience preferred
  • VMware knowledge required
  • CSP (Common Services Platform) and Kubernetes/Docker knowledge preferred
  • Understanding of basic networking principals required
  • Must have a strong customer focus
  • Knowledge of unified communication and contact center solutions.
  • Tier 1- and 2-level troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to present oneself in a professional manner at all times.
  • Cross-organizational effectiveness and thought leadership.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Excellent English oral and written skills.
  • Up to 25% travel may be required occasionally.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in either Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a technical-related field, plus proven work-related experience.
