Manage responsibility for selected brands/categories;

Break traditional patterns of thought by generating and recognizingimaginative, workable solutions to situations and problems;

Manage the development of annual national, channel or customerspecific trade plans by brand/category, focusing on Bayer brandbusiness goals and customer requirements;

Mine all data sources including consumer/shopper insights andsyndicated data to provide insights and recommendations that help inthe development of the four sales controllable promotional, pricing,distribution and shelving;

Collaborate with Field Sales and the Internal Bayer Organization toassist the Customer Team Lead in the areas of trade activation,customer response and competitive intelligence;

Conduct competitive analysis and category/brand reviews to identifydistribution, pricing and promotional gaps and providing actionableaccount recommendations based on findings;

Develop opportunities to improve profit and gross sales volume based on analysis of base and promotional pricing, promotional events, spending, forecasting, sell-through and volume;

Be responsible for the development of new item selling presentations for Customer Teams;

Be responsible for promotional strategies and tactics;

Review sales performance, insights data, key initiatives and new itemlaunches with the customer to ensure robust plans are in place andbeing executed;

Provide key learnings to the customer and tracks results against the annual joint business plan;

Get strategically involved with Category Management initiatives;

Perform ad hoc analysis as requested by the customer or CustomerTeams;

Forges a direct relationship with retailer contacts by providing relevant reports, insights, business status updates as part of their analytical output (where appropriate).

Knowledge equivalent to Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Management Concentration Helpful with at least three years of relevant analytical/business experience;

Builds effective teams, cultivates innovation, learning and change agility, customer focus, action-oriented/drives results, collaborates globally and locally, plans and aligns, drives stakeholder engagement, effectively manages suppliers;

Fit to win skills;

Excellent financial management skills to critically assess strategic goals and cost investments versus results;

Ability to streamline operational processes;

Experience in a basic understanding of brand P&Ls, return of investment and budget management;

Exceptional knowledge of retailer landscape and how to impact the total market;

Understand the impact of individual decisions to Bayer’s total business and relevant long-term implications;

Prior direct selling leadership experience with a top national retailer and sales strategy or sales operations experience;

Excellent written and oral communication skills;

Adaptability to a diverse working environment with the ability to work successfully across the organization while being self-motivated;

Proven experience in influence management;

Proven ability to develop win-win solutions to complex situations;

Superior problem-solving skills;

Robust analytical capabilities across a variety of data sources and platforms with ability to translate into action-minded recommendations;

Strong skills around sales data analysis and reporting;

Capable of producing and interpreting various reports and syndicated data;

Strong understanding of the various analytical resources (such as syndicated data, customer movement, sales tracking reports, etc.);

Advanced computer literacy skills specifically M.S. Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

M.B.A.;

Experience within consumer package goods industry or equivalent combination of education and/or experience;

Experience in the application of marketing research information (IRI, Nielsen, and Custom) as related to sales controllables.
