We want to help you achieve your greatest potential by enabling you to progress within your job and advance your career.Cedars-Sinai’s Materials Management Department has an exciting and meaningful opportunity for an Associate Director who will contribute to our mission of providing world-class care.The Associate Director, is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling of the daily operations of the assigned areas, in order to meet the needs of all customers and support of Medical Center philosophies. You will assume fiscal responsibility through preparation of unit budgets, serves as liaison with medical staff and other personnel, promotes the maximum growth and development of each employee, supports research, participates in strategic planning, both long and short term.The Associate Director of Purchasing performs and leads all functions needed to ensure the lowest total cost of purchased materials and services. The purpose is to balance the objectives of maximum product availability with strategic inventory plans. You will lead in high standard global critical negotiations to implement proactive procurement philosophies, strategies, policies, and procedures for successful integration into multiple business plans across various corporate departments. Additionally, is responsible for preparing data and analyzing inventory trends, external and internal key performance metrics, and proposing process improvement and the generation or management of key reports, metrics, and projects. This is a service position and is responsive to the needs of internal and external (suppliers) customers. Manage and mentor junior employees as required.Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field.

Minimum of 5 years’ management experience leading a team required.

Experience in Healthcare Supply Chain, Purchasing, or Contracting highly desirable.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of corporate staff, management, and customers.

Strong leader, people-focused, mentor, forward thinker.

Ability to plan, resource and execute projects.

Strong negotiation and proposal skills.

Demonstrated understanding and execution of the entire procurement cycle.
