Lucas Group has partnered with our client, a private equity backed economic and litigation consulting firm,on their search for both a Consultant and Consulting Manager.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Planning, executing, directing, and completing projects.
  • Managing client engagements, including performing data- and document-intensive financial analysis and modeling/projections, strategic analysis, due diligence, valuationanalysis, damage calculations and analysis, forensic accounting procedures, litigationsupport, risk assessments and remediation, internal control testing, and/or industryresearch.
  • Preparing questions for discovery and deposition of potential witnesses, assisting inreviewing and refuting the testimony and analysis of other expert witnesses, and preparingcourt exhibits, as necessary.
  • Managing a variety of forensic accounting assignments to investigate fraud and/or otheraccounting or business irregularities.
  • Leading the development, evaluation, and testing of compliance programs.
  • Performing research on applicable regulatory requirements, including accounting andauditing standards (e.g., US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB).
  • Communicating with counsel and/or clients to obtain documents and/or information,manage case progress and schedules, schedule meetings and conference calls, and conductinterviews with relevant client personnel.
  • Developing and maintaining appropriate relationships with counsel and clients during andafter engagements.
  • Reviewing and analyzing audit work papers to determine compliance with professionalstandards.
  • Managing litigation discovery and document requests.
  • Delivering high-value services to clients.
  • Assisting with business development efforts, including preparing presentations andproposals.
  • Identifying marketing opportunities, including seminars and speaking roles.
  • Mentoring, coaching, and training staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
  • 3 - 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Public accounting background (3+ years of Big-4 experience preferred).
  • CPA preferred.
  • CFE, CFF, CFA, ABV, or similar credential is a plus
