Title: Data Center Technician with EUC Desktop
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Contract

General Responsibilities

  • Engages vendors at each site for physical installation of equipment including rack & stack, cabling, power, out-of-band management, labeling and other services.
  • Engages vendors and coordinates maintenance and repair work on critical facilities equipment.
  • Depending on the site, this can include:
    • Emergency power systems: generator, generator fuel quality and transport, ATS and distribution switchgear, UPS and batteries
    • Cooling systems: condenser or chilled water, pumps and water systems, CRAC units, compressors, piping, refrigerant and heat rejection systems including diverse cooling sources
    • Fire detection and suppression systems (coordination with fire departments as needed)
    • Datacenter cleaning
    • Black building events testing critical facilities equipment
    • Monitoring and notification systems for the above
  • Monitors and responds to alarms from critical facilities equipment 24/7, determines causes and impacts and responds appropriately to protect Client IT systems.
