Our client, a large staffing organization, is currently looking for a DevOps Manager to lead a team of 6-8 DevOps Engineers.
This is a fully remote full time opportunity.
Responsible for the stability, quality, maintenance, and enhancements of CI/CD Applications used by the team and the Enterprise such as Jenkins, Chef, GitLab, Nexus and MediaWiki.
Stay abreast of technology industry trends and best practices.
Partner with the Enterprise Applications team to provide support for other related applications such as Jira, Alfresco and Planview
Delivery Planning and Execution
Partner with the CCoE Architecture team to provide for the stability, quality, maintenance, and enhancements of DevOps related applications
Create, prioritize, plan, and execute DevOps related enhancement requests with CCoE Architecture team.
Reduce development lifecycle and support by utilizing Agile methodologies.
Technology/Operational / Risk Control
Provide oversight and leadership to manage multiple complex development requests and initiatives that deliver high-quality systems on schedule, on budget, and to the committed scope.
Cultivate good system management disciplines including clearly defined and documented roles and responsibilities, documented phase processes and checkpoints, and detailed planning for system deployment.
Ensures compliance and control activities support technology and enterprise business objectives and are aligned with executive risk tolerances and expectations.
Provides strategic and technical leadership for the implementation of AWS systems and works closely with others in applications development and technical support to ensure the developed applications conform to enterprise standards.
Manage and develop team cultivating a spirit of one team with shared goals and objectives.
Select, motivate, and retain high performing team members.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other applicable degree
At least 10+ years of experience in a medium to large-scale enterprise IT capacity
At least 5+ years leading a successful DevOps operations team.
Technical application leadership required.
Experience managing an operations team and 24x7 oncall rotation.
Must have demonstrated the ability to lead, coach and mentor others.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to present to all levels of management
