A major educational institution in Los Angeles is hiring for a senior-level Java software engineer with experience in ReactJS for marketing and digital advertising efforts. The ideal candidate has full-cycle experience building projects and a deep understanding of Java/J2EE and ReactJS development. Candidates must be California locals, but the role will be fully remote with quarterly meet-ups for team bonding. In this role you will join an established team of 8, working on upgrading their existing marketing system using Java 11, Spring Boot, AWS, Rest API, Microservices, and SQL.
Required Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years of software development in Java/J2EE
  • Web development tools - ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
  • Strong web development skills and knowledge of content management systems
  • Excellent communication - oral and written
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or other technical field
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Knowledge of the modern SDLC and CI/CD
  • ReactJS
What You Will Be Doing
Tech Breakdown
  • 100% Server side development in Java (likely to change over time, but current projects will have you focus in this portion of the stack)
