The Role…
The IT Field Engineer (East or West Coast as assigned) is a roving position and will travel between the sites as needed, and will contribute to the daily running of all IT, AV and Cinema systems, applications and facilities of the Houses and stand-alone Restaurant sites. Supporting the senior management team and picking up any local projects as needed.

Main Duties…
  • Coordination and management of system upgrades, migrations, installations and changes at sites.
  • Ensure a daily and weekly check is done of key IT kit on site. Will include but not be limited to: PDQs/PEDs, Conkers (mobile POS terminals) and WiFi.
  • Support the IT side of any local events. Will involve evening and week-end working.
  • Ensure documentation is up to date in in line with company standards.
  • Management of routine maintenance to ensure highest levels of uptime across all system and applications.
  • Execution of company policies specifically in regard to data protection, information security, best practices.
  • Work with UK Support Office to ensure that company strategy is followed.
  • Manage relationship between US sites and any relevant outsourced IT Support companies.
  • Maintain an excellent understanding of hospitality applications, interfaces and dependencies in regard to Soho House use and expectations.
  • Manage and monitor in house equipment and usage.
  • Making independent decisions on all issues relating to department and properly communicating needs/issues/solutions to Head of House IT - North America.
  • Travel to all regional sites on a regular and as required basis.
  • Taking a hands-on approach when required.
  • Assigning priorities to tasks and issues and acting accordingly.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
Requirements

Requirements/ Qualifications:

Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Computer Science or related Degree preferred or minimum of 2+ years related experience at the level of IT Systems Analyst/technician or higher.
  • Must be familiar with payment terminals (PDQs/PEDs), Oracle Simphony POS, Opera PMS, IP Phone systems, Firewall, Network Switching and Routing, and WLAN.
  • Knowledge of Book4Time, Sage, TripleSeat events, OpenTable is a plus.
  • Must be technically competent with the ability to address company's computer, Internet, software, network and network security, AV, Cinema needs.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and trouble shoot problems quickly.
  • Flexible schedule.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
  • Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
  • Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others.
  • Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 30 pounds.
  • Occasionally kneel, bend, crouch and climb is required
