RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking an IT Security Engineer 3 in Los Angeles, CA.
Overview:
Platform Security (IPS) organization drives security technology principals and shared security and compliance services. IPS leverages the talent and skills of our organization to enable engineering productivity across the enterprise and make security and compliance frictionless for our developers. Come join the IPS Organization as a Staff Security Engineer. We are looking for a versatile problem solver with a passion for security, compliance, and coding to join our team to drive adoption of our services, drive security and compliance hygiene efforts, and help with audit engagements across company.
Responsibilities:
Drive, track, and promote adoption of centralized security and compliance services across company through both social and automated efforts
Partner with IPS development teams to help inform the product roadmap and provide user feedback that will be used to improve security and compliance services
Partner with Platform development teams and the IPS Governance team to help form an understanding their security and compliance requirements, document onboarding procedures, and contribute to code/scripts that make it easy for devs to adopt security and compliance tools for their AWS-based apps and services
Drive, track, and automate the overall work across Platform to close open vulnerabilities, security defects, and compliance failures
Participate in audit execution across Platform; Engage with development teams and internal / external auditors as required during an audit to facilitate audit interviews, help gather audit evidence, and remediate any audit findings; Automate this work where possible
Communicate progress across organizational boundaries and levels from individual contributor to senior executive
Anticipate, recognize, and work through resistance or setbacks independently, work well with others when conflicts arise
REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security or equivalent degree
Demonstrable experience in the area of audit, compliance and information security (i.e. auditor, compliance officer, security analyst, or engineer providing technical leadership to teams that have significant security compliance requirements)
Demonstrated proficiency in programming and/or scripting languages
Demonstrated proficiency with data analysis and reporting
