Lucas Group has partnered with our client, a Fortune 1000 CPG Company, in on their search for a Technical Accounting Manager. This role can be 100% Remote (working PST hours) or in the South Bay of Los Angeles.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical research on complex accounting issues (with heavy emphasis on revenuearrangements) and provide accounting consultation advice to business partners under USGAAP

  • Work with various cross-functional stakeholders on complex accounting issues

  • Draft and maintain global accounting policies and memos.

  • Partner with key stake holder and keep business partners updated on developments inaccounting and financial reporting and related firm policies and they effect they will have ontheir business unit

  • Develop and present training sessions and other meeting forums to keep business partners upto date

  • Draft comment letters to standard setters

  • Work as part of cross-functional teams to execute various special projects and transactions andpreparation of ad hoc financial reporting

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate and/or Masters Degree in Accounting required

  • CPA required

  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting; ideally with a “Big 4” public accounting firm,including significant SEC experience with global operations or a combination of publicaccounting and private industry with a publicly traded company

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management and Oracle is a plus
