Description Robert Half is seeking a Payroll Specialist who can process payroll and is proficient with ADP applications. This opportunity ensures you will be part of a dynamic team for career growth.ResponsibilitiesContinue employee confidence in payroll operations by keeping sensitive information confidential
Offer assistance with internal and external audits related to payroll
Execute relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports to circulate amongst department heads
Calculate employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments to establish payroll liabilities
Payroll information management via collecting, calculating, and entering data
Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines
Reconciling of employee deductions and other liabilities
Report needed changes after maintaining payroll operations according to established policies and procedures
Collect and analyze information including resolving payroll discrepancies
Handle payroll record updates by keeping changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers
Draft reports by organizing all summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
Manage payroll information requests and questions
Reviewing and verifying source documents
Requirements - Experience with high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.
Knowledgeable of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
Certified Payroll Professional will be given preference
ADP Workforce Now experience
semi-Monthly Payrolls experience
Microsoft Excel experience
Multistate Payroll experience required
Process Biweekly Payroll experience preferred
Knowledgeable about federal and state payroll regulations and requirements
Relevant experience of 2+ years in payroll
Prior experience using accounting software
Expertise with internal controls
Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
