ResponsibilitiesThe Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a part-time Student Assistant to join the Center for Cognitive Neuroscience. Primary duties include:Administering LIFUP to subjects
Data entry
Research study coordination
Assisting with subject recruitment and interviewing
Assisting with preparation of manuscripts, grants, and protocols.
QualificationsMust be current UCLA studentExperience and proficiency in using SPSS and Microsoft Office software programsAbility to conduct data collection and data entry for lab research studiesSkill in organizing the recruitment of subjects according to sequential priorityStrong attention to detailAbility to accurately schedule patient and administrative appointmentsOrganizational skills to effectively manage files and dataSkill in preparing clinical trials research submissionsStrong interpersonal/communication skills to conduct interviews and similar communications with confidentiality, sensitivity, and professionalismAbility to consistently interact appropriately, diplomatically and positively with staff, faculty, students, and patients.Ability to work independently and to follow through on assignments with minimal directionAbility to learn how to administer various neuropsychological testing proceduresAbility to analyze data and present them in feedback reportsStrong English language skills in editing reports, correspondence and manualsUCLA is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
