The Translation Services Specialist II manages organization-wide translation requests.
The Translation Services Specialist II works collaboratively with translation vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of complete translation projects.
The Translation Services Specialist II conducts quality assurance of translation projects and manages translation vendors through ensuring contract compliance and addressing vendor issues.
The Translation Services Specialist II is also responsible for identifying and implementing translation process improvement mechanisms, such as processes to improve glossaries, translation memory, and other translation tools as well as the implementation of a workflow system.
Manage translation projects in accordance with project timeline, budget, and resources. Vendor Management. Manage vendor contracts through regular meetings and other communications with vendor representatives.
Develop projects/programs to support Culture and Linguistic Services.
Responsible for developing, conducting, and evaluating training/education programs. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required: At least 4 years of recent experience in translating, editing, proofreading and conducting Client-out and/or quality assurance reviews in various foreign languages. Required: Proven experience managing multiple projects from inception to completion; able to multitask a high number of projects. Excellent verbal and written skills in English and other language. Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent problem solving, time management abilities, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work within tight deadlines within a fast paced environment. Preferred Skills & Experience Bilingual in one of L.A. Care Health Plan's threshold languages is highly desirable. English, Spanish, Chinese, Armenian, Arabic, Farsi, Khmer, Korean, Russian, Tagalog, Vietnamese. Minimum education requirements: Associate Degree
