The Oaks Gourmet is a well-established Gourmet Market/Restaurant/Coffee Bar/Fine Foods and Spirits retailer with a very loyal following in the popular Hollywood neighborhood of Franklin Village and we are currently looking for a Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

- Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective store operations.

- Filters communication to the staff.

- Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events; continues to keep store operating to standard and sets a positive example for the staff.

- Develops positive relationships with the staff by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns.

- Engages in conversation with customers to understand their needs or requests.

- Maintains standards of quality.

- Works with other management on disciplinary matters and issues.

- Cross trains and develops staff to provide opportunities for growth and advancement.

- Demonstrates knowledge that promotes the concept and experience of The Oaks Gourmet.

- Sets the standard for service expectations by scrutinizing every aspect of the guest's experience from start to finish.

- Corrects any food or beverage problems before they reach the guest.

- Demonstrates thorough recipe knowledge and awareness of food and beverage quality.

-Ability to act with a customer comes first attitude and delivers customer service that meets or exceeds customer expectations customer needs.

- Knowledge of the retail environment and can handle inventory.

- Achieves and maintains a clean and sanitary environment

- Demonstrates solid knowledge of Policies and Procedures, proper use of forms, payroll procedures, reports, and employee file maintenance.

- Willing to learn; able to lead.

- Able to work varying schedules: days, nights, and weekends.

Experience Requirements:

- Management experience in a restaurant, cafe, retail or coffeebar environment (3 years)

- Knowledge of POS computer skills

- Basic BOH and FOH operations

- Serv Safe (or like) certification in sanitation and safety required

- Experience in directing the work of others
